Under a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two organisations in June 2018, Armidale Sanctuary maintains regular contact with Settlement Services International (SSI) to keep abreast of developments in the arrival and settlement of the refugees in Armidale and to facilitate co-operation and contact with the families. Settlement Service International are contracted by the Australian Government to provide initial settlement services to refugees arriving in Armidale.

We also work closely with other organisations, especially Mosaic (Mosaic Multicultural Connections) and STARTTS (NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors).

Armidale Sanctuary members have participated in community consultations and workshops organised by Settlement Services International with the Ezidi community aimed at ascertaining the community’s priorities and aspirations.

Armidale Sanctuary is a Member of and contributes to the Humanitarian Settlement Program Network convened by SSI. Quarterly meetings of the Network provide an opportunity to meet with other agencies involved in settlement and exchange information on developments.

We participate in the quarterly New England Multicultural Interagency Meetings

We are a Member of and support the Refugee Council of Australia.
